Idol group SHINee wrapped up a successful concert in London, and made quite the impression in England.
On November 3rd, SHINee held their solo concert as the opening act for the 6th Annual London Korean Film Festival at the Odeon West End Theater in Leicester Square.
Prior to the concert, locals fans holding signs saying ‘SHINee I love you‘ in Korean, began to gather around the theater. Many were singing SHINee’s songs together while others put on dance cover performances.
A Odeon Theater representative stated, ”The tickets for SHINee’s opening gala concert sold faster than tickets for the ‘Harry Potter‘ films. SHINee’s concert was the first to cause our ticketing website to crash.”
Many local media outlets showed interest in this phenomenon, and reporters from The Guardian,Independent, The Times, and CNN were present at the event.
The concert began with “Ring Ding Dong“, which was followed by SHINee’s hit songs “Noona You’re So Pretty“, “Juliette“, and “Lucifer“. Fans were also treated to special solo performances from each member.
After the concert, SHINee held interviews with the local media and asked them to continue showing interest in K-Pop and the London Korean Film Festival.
The boys returned to Korea on November 4th, and will resume preparations for the release of their first Japanese full-length album, “THE FIRST“, on December 7th.
